This Privacy Policy covers the website legalmarketday.com, including the form for information about events organized by the Controller. Processing of personal data of event participants who buy tickets is described in § 10 of the Registration Terms and Conditions.
§ 2 What data we collect
Through the form for information about events: full name, business e-mail address, organization, country and the role in which you are interested in the events.
When you use the website: data collected by cookies and similar technologies, as described in § 8.
§ 3 Why we process data and on what legal basis
To send you information about events organized by the Controller, including LEGAL MARKET DAY, on the basis of your consent given by ticking the checkbox in the form (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). We use double opt-in: we start sending information only after you confirm your e-mail address via the link in the confirmation message.
To keep proof of your consent and its withdrawal, and to establish, pursue or defend claims, on the basis of the Controller’s legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
To measure website traffic and run marketing tools, on the basis of your consent given in the cookie banner (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
§ 4 Who receives your data
Data is processed only by the Controller. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with event partners or other companies for their own purposes.
We use service providers who process data on our behalf, only to the extent needed:
MailerLite – e-mail tool used to send event information;
Gridaly – event platform;
the website hosting provider, with servers in Europe;
CookieYes – cookie consent banner;
Google (Google Analytics), Meta and LinkedIn – analytics and marketing tools described in § 8.
Data may also be disclosed to public authorities if the law requires it.
§ 5 Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Data from the form is stored in the European Union. MailerLite keeps subscriber data of EU customers in the EU.
Google, Meta and LinkedIn may transfer data collected by cookies to the United States. These transfers are based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
§ 6 How long we keep data
Data from the form is kept until you withdraw your consent or unsubscribe.
After that, we may keep a record of your consent and its withdrawal for the period in which claims may arise.
